  • Mutton – 1 kg
  • Onion (small) – 1
  • Tomato (big) – 3
  • Green Chilli – 2
  • Oil – 4 tsp
  • Salt – to taste
  • Cumin seeds – 1 tsp
  • Ginger garlic paste – 2 tsp
  • Red Chilli paste – 7 tsp
  • Kapsa masala – ½ tsp
  • Garam masala – 1 tsp
  • Vinegar – 4 tsp
  • Water – 1 cup
  • Cardamom (Elaichi) – 2–3
  • Cloves (Lawang) – 3–4
  • Cinnamon – 1 small piece
  • Curry leaves – few
  • Coriander leaves – for garnish

    In a pressure cooker, add mutton, chopped tomatoes, onion, green chillies, cardamom, cloves, cinnamon, salt, cumin seeds, Kapsa masala, garam masala, oil, red Chilli paste, ginger-garlic paste, vinegar, curry leaves, coriander leaves, and water. Mix everything well.

    Add a little more water if needed to adjust the consistency.

    Close the lid and pressure cook for 5–6 whistles or until the mutton becomes soft.

    Once the pressure releases, open the lid and cook on high flame if you want a dry or thick masala.
