Ingredients

  • Vermicelli – 75 g
  • Chana dal – 30 g (boiled & soft)
  • Whole coconut milk or fresh milk – 1 cup
  • Sugar – 200 g (adjust to taste)
  • Milkmaid – 2 tsp (optional)
  • Ghee – 2 tsp
  • Cardamom powder – ½ tsp
  • Almonds – chopped
  • Cashew nuts – chopped
  • Kishmish (raisins)

A rich, creamy kheer made with soft chana dal and roasted vermicelli, flavored with cardamom and loaded with dry fruits—perfect served warm or chilled

Cooking Steps

    Prepare chana dal:

    Wash chana dal 2–3 times and soak for 2 hours (optional)

    Cook with 1–1½ cups water on medium flame for 25–30 minutes until very soft.

    Remove foam if needed, mash lightly, and set aside.

    Roast vermicelli:

    Heat ghee in a pan.
