Cooking Steps
- 1Prepare Gulab Jamun:
- 2In a bowl, add MTR Gulab jamun mix.
- 3Add milk little by little and mix gently.
- 4Make a soft dough by applying ghee.
- 5Rest the dough for 5 minutes.
- 6Apply little ghee to your hands.
- 7Make small smooth balls without cracks.
- 8Heat oil or ghee on low-medium flame.
- 9Fry the Gulab jamuns until golden brown.
- 10Sugar Syrup:
- 11In a pan, add water.
- 12Add crushed cardamom pods and saffron strands.
- 13Add sugar and mix well.
- 14Boil until the sugar dissolves completely.
- 15Switch off the flame.
- 16Add fried Gulab jamuns into the warm syrup.
- 17Rest for 1–2 hours.
- 18Prepare Custard:
- 19In a bowl, mix custard powder with little milk.
- 20Heat the remaining milk in a pan.
- 21Pour the custard mixture, add sugar according to your taste, and stir continuously until thick.
- 22Let it cool completely.
- 23Whipping Cream:
- 24In a bowl, whip the cream with sugar powder until fluffy.
- 25Dessert Glass Assembly:
- 26In a serving glass, add a layer of custard.
- 27Cut the Gulab jamun into half pieces.
- 28Arrange the half-cut Gulab jamun on top of the custard and around the glass.
- 29Add a layer of crushed cake.
- 30Pour more custard on top.
- 31Again, add a layer of Gulab jamun pieces.
- 32Add another layer of crushed cake.
- 33Decorate with whipping cream, Gulab jamun, gold flakes, silver flakes, cocoa powder and decorative golden balls.
- 34Serve chilled and enjoy this rich royal dessert.
