Cooking Steps
- 1Prepare the Mixture: Heat 2 tbsp ghee in a pan. Add ¾ cup milk and mix well. Once it comes to a boil, reduce the flame to low.
- 2Add Milk Powder: Gradually add 2 cups milk powder, stirring continuously to prevent lumps.
- 3Cook Until Thick: Keep stirring on low flame until the mixture becomes thick and starts leaving the sides of the pan.
- 4Add Cardamom: Add ½ tsp cardamom powder and mix well.
- 5Add Sugar & Ghee: Transfer the mixture to a plate. Add a little ghee and mix well. Add ¼ cup powdered sugar and mix thoroughly. Then add 1 tsp ghee and mix again until smooth.
- 6Add Colours: Divide the mixture into 3 equal portions. Add red, orange, and green food colours to each portion and knead gently until evenly colored.
- 7Make Burfi Using Silicone Mould: Take small portions of the coloured mixture, place them into a silicone mould, press gently, and carefully remove.
- 8Make the Rolled Burfi: Place the red-coloured mixture on butter paper and roll it into a thin layer.
- 9Similarly, roll the green mixture into a thin layer and place it over the red layer. Finally, prepare the orange layer and place it over the other layers.
- 10Roll: Trim the edges evenly. Using the butter paper, carefully roll all three layers together into a tight log.
- 11Cut & Serve: Cut the roll into small pieces and gently shape them as needed.
