Frequently Asked Questions

Why use parboiled rice for these rolls?

Parboiled rice gives the batter body, so the rolls hold their shape when steamed in banana leaves. It needs 6 to 7 hours of soaking to grind smoothly.

What can I use if I don't have banana leaves?

You can steam the rolls in greased steel plates or wrapped in foil. Banana leaves add a subtle aroma, so use them if you can.
