Cooking Steps
- 1Pour 2.5 liters of full-fat milk into a heavy-bottomed pan and bring it to a gentle boil.
- 2Reduce the heat to low and slowly add ½ cup vinegar, stirring gently until the milk curdles completely.
- 3Turn off the heat and let it rest for 2–3 minutes.
- 4Strain the curdled milk through a muslin cloth or cheesecloth.
- 5Squeeze out the excess whey.
- 6Rinse the paneer under running water to remove the vinegar taste.
- 7Squeeze out the excess water and tie the cloth tightly.
- 8Place a heavy object on top and press for 30–45 minutes until firm.
- 9Unwrap the paneer, cut it into cubes, and your homemade fresh paneer is ready! Use it immediately or refrigerate it for later use.
