Frequently Asked Questions

Why do my rava vadas break while frying?

The mixture is too soft. Let the cooked rava cool fully before adding the potatoes, and add a spoon of dry rava if it still feels sticky. Fry in hot oil without moving them too soon.

Can I shallow fry or air fry rava potato vada?

Yes. Brush them with oil and air fry, or shallow fry on a tawa, until golden on both sides. They will be slightly less crisp than deep-fried ones.
